  • National Corvette Museum pics

So we drove down to Florida to visit my brother for Christmas. On the way back home, we made a pit stop in Bowling Green so we could check out the National Corvette Museum. I took a few pics.

Neat! I have yet to go there, but its on my todo list.

My parents had their first date in that 1963 Corvette, it was originally gold. My dad sold it to GM about 10 years ago.

this is what happens when a C5 hits a wall at 30mph:

At left: last Corvette built in St. Louis. 7.2 miles on the odometer. At right: first Corvette built in Bowling Green. 18 miles on the odometer.

This car was PERFECT. Everything about it. One of the most beautiful cars I've seen in a long, long, long time.

And now some pics from a dealer across the road that had some very sweet (and very overpriced) cars:

                    750-hp procharged Z06

I know we're all Camaro guys here, but this is one SEXY Mustang:

                    Pretty sweet old truck

This guy was hiding in the corner:

                    Pretty nice C/10

                    440 Challenger

                    550-hp Magnacharged SSR

                    Pretty sweet 3rd-gen racecar:

I like the turbo L82! and that 3rd gen racecar is perfect. One day I want to have a racecar themed vehicle .
Thats my dad's 1958 Corvette, I thought it was at the Hertiage Center

From what I understand the next gen wasnt quite ready and they had to change over the molds for a major overhaul. They made the 82's well into 1982 and the 1984 pretty early in 1983.

Im sure Brian or someone else can clue you in as well.
