How come in 1983 thre only one corvette built

there were actually 30 built, this is the only one left. From what I remember reading, there were so many changes in store for the new model (technological and technical), they pretty much couldn't get it out the door in time. And like Nate said, they started making '84 models pretty early in '83.

V-12 "Conan" Corvette was partially built in GR at Dieline Racing. I have a bunch of Dieline pictures but they're in a PDF.

NCM looks great, I haven't been there in a long time.

That red 95 ZR-1 was the last one built. Drove straight from the assembly plant across the road to the NCM.

I think the '83 had a bunch of "quality control" issues that couldn't get fixed in some sort of time frame and at the time GM thought of discontinuing the Corvette altogether.
