if you are comparing to a camaro 3200 pounds is a lot better than 3800 pounds. And i believe there is a similar advantage in aerodynamics. but i agree, weight is all relative and there are certainly lighter options out there.Originally posted by 1BADAIR View Postin reality. the vettes really arent that light-Joel

I have to disagree about the port sizes. I would find it hard to believe that these heads can get good MPG numbers AND pass emissions with poorly designed heads. Doesn't make sense. BTW the Gen5 heads will be direct injection too. No fuel flowing in the ports, just good old air. When in doubt, Whip it out !

I has a few friends with LS3 C6's. One makes 485rwhp cam only with bolt ons another made 424rwhp with just bolt ons but he's now supercharged. When I had no spray and was on stock cubes the bolt on one would always beat me. Now that we are in the 600+ rwhp range I beat him but there is no denying the performance of the C6's.Last edited by Detoxx03; November 26th, 2011, 02:31 PM.

It always sucks when a bad driver takes out another person with his skillz, that's when the guy in the C6 should be able to get out and cut up the other guy's divers license on the spot.

from a dig or a roll? my friend has a bone stock ls3 vette, with a vararam (i think) cold air intake. he ran a 12.4 or 12.3 at 117 was his best. my best was 12.6 at 120. when we race from a roll (no matter the speed) i pull car lengths. from a dig it takes me a long time to catch up, but then i freight train him.Originally posted by JoeliusZ28 View PostI have a friend with a stock LS3 vette, that has a pretty impressive kill list. He walks away from my 12 second camaro like im standing still.98 z28, m6, monster clutch, eibach pro kit, custom twin turbo setup, 317 heads, z06 valve springs, arp rod bolts, 512rwhp at 10lbs. cobra eater

When my friends vette was bolt on it ran a 11.9 on street tires with a driver mod. I forgot what it was trapping but I can find the video someone through all the piles of footage I have.
