Sorry the pictures suck. I was at a event and Reeve Callaway was present. I have a poster of the Speedster that I had him autograph. The speedster features Carbon fiber wheels with Magnesium spokes, Supercharger, a heat activated door poppers(no door handles) rear view mirror delete(cameras are in lover panels of both sides that project images to the screen on the dash) and Windshield delete(behind the seats are helmets that you should wear to protect you from debris and bugs).

Currently I don;t have any pictures of the silver car. But I can take some in the next couple of weeks.

The blue one is completely carbon fiber. Any by everything I mean doors, fenders, mirrors, roof, bumpers ect. The resin was tinted so from a distance it looks blue, and up close up can see the stiching.

This pictures sucks but you get the idea. My brothers camera.

Is the car driven? Or does it just sit there and rot?
We had some pics of the interior not too long ago...not sure where they went.

It seems to get driven on and off a trailer, and seems to sit in front of various bars as a promotional car...last time I saw it, it was filthy.

I spelled it wrong, but: http://www.mifbody.com/vbulletin/sho...ewpost&t=17960 is the latest pics. It's most certainly a silver car on the exterior with a vinyl wrap. The attached images are the thumbnail, you can click any of the attached images and expand them to 3000+ width and really get a close view. The Callaway rear bumper picture when expanded to full size really shows the vinyl.

The interior was hard to get pics of so I didn't get any. I tried taking a few but on the camera's screen it looked like all I got was the reflection in the glass so I deleted the images. Odometer reads about 17,000-17,500. The shifter bezel is woodgrain with a plaqard on the bezel. I noticed in many places the vinyl wrap was peeling.

Edit: First page has the interior image:

I haven't been working on it lately. My latest update was adding (from what the owner, others, and I understand to be) 1 of 2 or 4 Hendrick Motorsports special Camaro SSes. Those Hendrick cars are ridiculously hard to research or verify because SLP didn't keep the records on them OR they may still have the records, just not in digital, database form.

You can check it out here though: http://brangeta.googlepages.com/4thg...ohistory223322

I've kinda been thinking about trying to be a writer for Super Chevy or Camaro Performers so I could make a bit of money off of all this knowledge and info I've collected over the years, but they haven't contacted me back.

My Callaway section, when I eventually get it made, should be the most informative on the internet. I have pictures of most of the official C8s but there are a few I lack details on--like this vinyl covered one you guys have been taking pictures of here. I don't know if it is an official C8 or not, because I've never seen the engine. The plaque on the center console and the emblem on the nose (back when it was silver) imply that it was, but until I see an engine shot, I won't know for sure. C8s could be ordered in multiple ways, with the base SuperNatural engine being the SuperNatural 400 (a 383 cu in engine) all the way up to a SuperNatural 450, which was the top-of-the-line LT1 engine from Callaway. In other words, it was the best you could get in their Callaway Corvettes. The ZR1 Callaways had SuperNatural 475s though. The number stands for the approximate horsepower at the crank.

I want a Callaway eventually, but don't know if I'll end up with an official C8 or not. I want one with the CamAerobody kit most of all, and one that is still low mileage and in good condition.

I've discussed this blue one with a friend, and we both agree that it must have been in a very light accident. At first, I thought it was just hood misalignment mainly from the plastic hood bump stops being worn out or missing, but after seeing your pics, it's obvious it's been in some sort of accident. The eggcrate grill is a disaster, the fog light mounts are bad, and etc. It looks like it likely hit a curb parking, or another car while parking. With a nose that long, that seems to be the likely scenario.

Thanks for the odometer reading. I'm really surprised it looks that worn out for that kind of mileage. It must have lived a hard life outside. Someone said the interior was a disaster, how so? I can't see anything bad in the one pic of the interior.

Does it have woodgrain window switch panels as well? It should if it was Callaway installed.

I know of another one in Spring Lake, and every so often you'll see a black one in Auburn Hills.

I'd heard that the owner of the one in Spring Lake killed himself in it a couple years ago, if any of you west-siders remember it in the news.

                      They're around...just not very often.

I'm not familiar with Michigan at all, I've never been there, but I know of at least one C8 that was there. I wish I was a better stalker, but I don't really pay attention to where they all are... if I was a broker or collector, I'd probably pay more attention.

One that WAS in MI was an official C8 that is red and has chrome Callaway/Bridgestone Run Flat wheels. It now has a new owner, who lives in Florida.

I'm really interested in this black one you talk about. Any info you have on it, or pics, I'd LOVE to see!

                              Nope, no pics unfortunately.

First time I saw it, it was going north on 75 and I didn't recognize what it was...had to catch up to it and see Callaway on the rear fascia.

I'll keep more of an eye out for it...this would be the time it would be out running around.

I have seen these kinda cars alot it is just a billboard that is all... the party store up the road had one last year and I asked the store owner whats up? He said they put them in front of places to get people to look, and when people are there about 1 in 5 will go into the store and buy (i don't know about those numbers just what he said) ... I would think putting something nice out would be better! but then you would have fools all over a nice car...

oh I seen it too some time back and though EWWW!
