I bet it gets good gas mileage though. Nice find.
I doubt its gets good gas mileage. I would be surprised if it got over 21 mpg average. (Very little power, probaly no overdrive, probaly been a while since it has had a tune up, and probaly has at least 3.55)
But the real question is
When is it going to be for sale?Last edited by bri2203; March 2nd, 2008, 11:28 PM.

i'm in the garage right now, just going to make the car last 2 or so months so i can get my Z finished up
right now i like this car alot, i think i might try and restore it, a turbo iron duke would be sweet
and i heard this from someone that the 2.5 is a pontiac engine? so could i use like V8 pistons and such?

That would be kool to restore a 4 cylinder.
A few years ago where I work we restored a 1955 Chevy 150, straight 6, 4 door, 3 on the column. The owner spent way more restoring the car than its worth but her grandma bought it brand new.

i already have a LS1, i will get a "nice" SS or GTO in a year or two so might as well have something unique
idk but knowing me it will be in the for sale section in a month or so

you'd better mod your car then because an evo or sti with a few bolt-ons will probably get you.Originally posted by LS1Phoenix View PostHaha...I'll buy it! youd be better off going with a ford 2.3.. and modding that.. i know it is sacrilidge.. but you will save tons of $$..
finding parts for Iron Duke's are about as expensive finding them for any other chrysler motor.. hell it costs you money just to get on your computer and look on ebay.
i had one for about 2 months in my mini stock.. and immediatly switched to a 2.3 ford.. parts are dime a dozen, and they are pretty stout little buggers..
iron dukes with stand up to a little bit, but the last 2 i have seen turbos put on.. didn't fare to well..
if i could only find the picture of the guy in the pinto with a 2.3 draggin the rear bumper off his car.. twin turbo and all that jazz.. now that was a bad ass pinto'
- Edit... and a Evo, with 2 plug wires pulled could get ya by at least 5 or 6 lengths..

Y'know, I keep looking at it, and I think those are WS6 second gen wheels...the wheels are worth more than the car...if they are, fully refinished they'll bring $1000-1500...need more pics.Originally posted by Redd8407I WANT NOISE! They made a couple of different sets.Originally posted by TSTONE View Postinteresting - i do believe though that those were available around that era
i had a friend that bought one new around then and he was really pumped about being able to get those wheels since they were the same as what he had on his 2nd gen T/A
The 2nd gens came two ways...WS6 and non-WS6...the WS6 ones are 8 or 8 1/2 inches wide and came with a noticably deeper lip...the non-WS6 ones came 7 1/2 or 8 inches wide and had a small or no lip.
The early 3rd gen ones mimicked the non-WS6 ones but had a slightly different smaller honeycomb pattern and no lip...I think they only came in 7.5 inches wide but not 100% sure...they were only available for non-Formula and non-T/A cars.
Need better pics to be sure...but it looks like there's a decent sized wheel lip there...the code on the back should confirm it...Originally posted by Redd8407I WANT NOISE! SPEED!
