That's cute ^....I've beat an MIR Evo so I think I'm good for now. And yea I know they can be made faster, but mine can be made faster too.Originally posted by DETROITMUSCLE View Postyou'd better mod your car then because an evo or sti with a few bolt-ons will probably get you.98 Trans Am WS.6

where is this code located so i can check?Originally posted by 81DaytonaPaceCar View Post
Need better pics to be sure...but it looks like there's a decent sized wheel lip there...the code on the back should confirm it...
also do you know what "PMD" on the seats stands for as well as "#6 3-12-82" in white market is located on the rad. support beam

Rear windshield wipers are pretty rare as well. More of the base cars got them than the Z's, IROCs and TA's. There is a Silver IROC like mine from Canada that has a rear window wiper. It's probably the only silver IROC with one and one of very few IROCs in general with one.
I believe the S/E was for Special Edition, but I don't know all the content of that package. It was kind of a luxury/sport package for the 4 and 6 cyl cars. They only made them for the first few years of 3rd gen production from what I can remember.

Some quick Google-ing and I came up with some interesting info:
http://www.thirdgen.org/1982-pontiac-firebird
http://82firebird.com/
And it IS a Pontiac motor. Jeep got the motor from GM, not the other way around. The Super Duty 4 bangers are badass motors they used for racing and the actual track used Indy Fieros had Super Duty 4 bangers in them. The parts are still out there to build Super Duty 4 bangers but they're expensive and rare.
