Annnd...speedometer is broken again...

It was working when I pulled out of the garage and onto the main road, but somewhere in my short drive today it decided to break again. What the hell???

Took advantage of the nice weather (well, before it clouded over) today to take a drive and get some proper pictures of the car.

I like how the whole color palate is relatively muted. I felt the overall feel of the area (back entrance to a cement plant) really fit well with the patina of the car.

Also, I've seen this car a hundred times now, but something just hit me... what if you could find a set of patina'd color-keyed brown/gold wheels? Or maybe paint your wheels a dark brown and patina them somehow?

Yeah, that's definitely not a bad idea - especially looking at that first pictures, which appears to be a Maroon car.

The wheel pocket color is coordinated with the stripe and exterior colors (and I believe the multiple stripe colors per exterior color were determined based on what interior you have). So since I have silver stripes, due to a black interior, I have the natural/silver-finish N90s.

I'll keep my eye open, could be quite a cool look, even if it doesn't match the stripes (I don't think it needs to - especially looking at the black/red stripe one, with black wheels).

Yep! But don't feel too bad, I thought it was brown for years until I actually got it.

And yeah - and how that is determined is based on what color the interior is.

I still haven't fixed this, or even looked at what is likely busted again. Have driven it a few times, regardless, because its so damn fun.

In the interest of something to do - how does one "mount" the spare and the jack in the trunk? They've just been sitting in my garage; not completely in the way - but if they were out of the way, even better.

Would I be correct in guessing the "hook" of the large threaded rod runs through the loop in the floor, then comes up through the center of the spare, then through the jack plate and then large wing nut fastens it all down tight to the floor?

Now, the jack: where does that mount? I recall seeing something online about it mounting under the rear deck, but being that this has a full custom rear deck for the two 8" woofers and 4.5" mids, as well as the amp, I don't see any kind of mount under there.

Awesome, thanks man! So looks like it should all mount up to the spare. I mounted up the spare, but not the jack.

Putting the jack in there makes more sense to really have something for that wing nut to crank down on, rather than just against the rubber isolator which now appears to go between the jack plate and the jack.

EDIT: Nevermind, I looked at it again, and it definitely mounts under the deck. I may have to get creative and mount it to (or under) the spare...
