I dont know about the LS alts specifically, but marvs auto electric seems to do top notch rebuilds that are better than the remans you get from oreilys etc...

Try Bills Suburban on Gratiot. They build them in house.

I got my car to run today. I replaced a couple fuses and switched back to my stock PCM. Started right up and kept running.

Started the car up after the oil change and it started to tick. Figured it would go away after a few minutes but it didn't. Driving jt to work tomorrow it hopes it works itself out. If not I don't know what to do, I heard that changing the oil again is just a waste of money. Anyone have any insight to this?

My old 84 Caddy would do the same. It was free so I didn't care, I added a quart of cheap ATF 30 miles before every oil change....it was amazing how much crud came out. Kinda miss that old barge.

Took it to TLC in Royal Oak. Y pipe fell off so I drove a couple miles open headers.. A lot of people looked at me weird.

got my pcm back last night from getting tuned by frost.

Overall I am pleased with the new set up. The quality and fitment of the Speed Engineering stainless steel headers and Y-pipe is amazing and the price really can't be beat. I added some drilled 20GA steel straps in place of the stock exhaust skid plate support and managed to get 4.5" of ground clearence at the lowest point under the driver's side floor pan. Coupled with my LMII it has a good rumble to it with minimal rasp Id say, a little on the loud side but bearable.

Also couldn't be happier with my tune. He did a great job and the throttle response is excellent; its like driving a completely different car!
