Haha, yeah everyone always says that. The T/A is one of many for him. He's Long Hauled his 66 Chevelle convertible 3 times. He said for long drives he prefers to have cruise and AC.

Here is my full post from pro-touring.com
      ----------------

An update from the Hot Rod Power Tour! One of the best days I've had in a long time!!

Woke up at 5am. Stopped at Bob Evan's in Toledo, OH for Breakfast

      Rolled down US20 to Norwalk

Pulled in to Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk around 11am.

Lined up for fun runs on the drag strip at 1pm

      Started raining at 1:15pm

$1 Ice cream for lunch at 1:30pm

Finally lined up (against my grandfather) at about 2:30pm

      The old man whooped me!

Watched drag racing for a few more hours in the sun with my Grandpa

On the way back, about 50 miles from home my shifter came apart. Luckily the car stayed in gear, so I was able to limp it in to a parking lot but I couldn't shift at all. A quick call to Hagerty got me home with a free flatbed ride! (no pictures of that...) Upon closer inspection when I tore in to it last night, the mounting plate came apart from the transmission. Amazingly, the bolt was still in the hole, it just didn't have any threads engaged. I'm pretty glad it was a cheap, quick fix. I think my wife would draft divorce papers if I spent another dime on this car this month.

On that note, after a 3 hour drive sitting on those '69 Camaro buckets, I decided it was time to upgrade, soI bought these from a member here yesterday. SHH my wife will never notice... Oops!

Well, after much trial and error, it turns out the GTO seats are too wide to fit between the trans tunnel and still be at a comfortable height. If I was 5'6" it would be fine, but they are just too tall to work. It's crazy because I know I've seen 5th gen Camaro seats in a 1st gen. I'm sure we could make them fit, but I'm not interested in cutting the floor/ tunnel apart to make it work. I guess I'm on the lookout for a pair of Fiero seats to recover. Now I just need to buy a C10 to put these GTO seats in...

In other news, I did manage to put new black carpet in while the seats were out. It looks (and smells) much better than the dark blue the previous owner had in there. No pictures of that, but I'll be on Woodward tonight if you want to see it.

They are nice and comfy, my buddy just picked up a really nice set 500 bucks for some just about new seats with 14k on them. If your looking for rears to match I can get the contact info of the guy he bought them from.

I like it w/o the mouldings. Did the spacers set the wheels where you wanted them?

Thanks! i like it better this way too- its a good thing because I sold the moldings on friday!

The spacers are just about perfect! I should have room for 275s in the rear now!

Good to hear. All mine sit where I want them and I got the engine running better than ever. I was told a trailer should show up towards the end of this week to take it to the body shop

I have more miles on my car in this MONTH then many do in 2 years or even more.
