Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
You have to knock on wood 24/7 when you own a LT1 Not really, just take care of it and you'll be gravy.
As for those splash guards as 6LE calls em, I'd like to see what they look like on my car but I'm afraid to draw hate On 6LE, I think they look okay...ish. If I get my car running, maybe we can meet up, either at the M&G or something. Lol.. I can feel the hate of fbody owners already.
All the parts are in (excluding pushrods). Lloyd did an excellent job on the porting of the heads and intake. He even stamped my name on the heads which I'm sure is so he can keep track of which parts belong to who but, I think its a nice touch.
Old TB for comparison:
Also went with a metallic pewter-wish color for the intake. Wanted something different I'm digging it.
And for the before porting pictures:
Wish I could find the before porting intake pictures but they seem to be MIA at the moment.
Is that paint or powder coating? Are the fins done in that too or where they taped?
Its just engine paint, and no the fins were painted as well. Living on a dirt road never allows me to pop my hood anyway so polished fins are a waste for me.
Not a whole bunch to update. Ive got everything laid out on a table in front of the engine stand. Should be able to measure the pushrods sometime this week. If they come out to need a custom size ive got a 10-14 day wait on those :/. So fingers crossed They measure out to be stock or atleast a common size!
