Great progress, yes I replaced the belt before I parked it for winter..belt started shredding and havnt cleaned up the mess..Yea original plan is to reuse the gaskets since they are practically brand new...Yea for sure you can do the welding. As long as what ever you do doesnt make the exhaust tips crooked or sit any lower than they are now..just got those put on and tucked haha

i would really prefur to use new intake gaskets, i hate warrenty issues. and a vacume leak would be likely. as for the welding i will place a light tack weld before i remove the clamps so you fit ment wont be tampered with.

Hmmmm..Ill chance it. Those gaskets have less then 300 miles on them, bought the intake from a buddy who replaced the gaskets before upgrading to a FAST. With the recent shit hours from work, cant afford new gaskets at the moment.

Ok the tack weld sounds great. So was the nut completely loose as where the clamp would fall off? Thats pretty shitty..going to have a talk with mufflerman manager.

ok i will reuse them it understand how finances go. not trying to be rude or anything but there will be now labor or part warranty on the intake. yeah the nut was completely loose it didnt look like it was ever tightend down.

Should be fine on reusing the intake gaskets. They are designed to be reused like that, never really heard of an instance of one causing a leak, aside from warped or overmilled heads.

well friday the car was completed and picked up. this car was a dream to work on. i only found a couple thigs wrong with it and it is in great shape and was for sure a good buy. im going to post a couple of pics and then 2 videos where you can deffinatly see he's a happy man. almost a permagrin. which is what i love to see in the end. some thing are just worth more than money!!!!

the BBk's where a great fit they slipped right in with no problems at all and had great ground clearance.

the ls6 intake swap was a breaze! i did break the oil pressure sender even knowing it was brittle. i think a good breaze would have popped it. but i installed a new delco unit and off we went.








I put a creamic coating on the bottom of the intake to help with heat retension





and the underdrive pulley



the belts and A/C tensioner have seen there better days and i know will be addresses in the near future
