I am taking my trans to D&D in march, then a dyno tune, then I plan on spending some time at Milan until my 10 bolt explodes.

I've got about 350 break in miles on it and so far everything is great. Almost finished with my 9" and I am pulling my trans in the next month or so. Then when everything gets put back together taking to Vector for a dyno tune.

Great looking build thus far. I got my 383 build done around the same time as you, nice to see people still messing around with them. The new exhaust system sure sounds great, really good shout when you give it a rev.

I'm just wondering what static compression you ended up running with?

Also I'm curious what your break in process has been? Is the car running on a base tune? I drove mine maybe 20 miles and gave it straight to Vector where they claimed they would put a load on it before they tuned it revving it to 6500 rpms. I believe they did because they said my PC froze up during the tune process so the new computer showed it had about 20 miles on it.

I am not sure on the compression yet. I had a pcmforless hotcam tune and they did a retune for my set up for $50. I have had no wot yet, but ran in up to 5500-6k and varied the rpms to get the rings seated. There are so many different opinions on proper break in, but so far i am doing ok, I've changed the oil twice and it looked great both times.

Yea same here. How many miles do you have on it? I got about 1.5k so far.

How are you not sure on the compression? Teehee!

I only have about 350 miles on it. I just have not put my numbers in a formula to get the compression yet.

Shouldn't the builder know? Not trying to be a jerk but this was one of the huge points I had before I even had my parts ordered.
