dang, thats not as bad as I figured... but it still doesnt mean I can afford it... tho I definitely need it... grufOriginally posted by Nocooler View PostJust talked to Jeremy @ RPM......guess I did more damage than I thought!
2nd, 3rd, 4th, 6th and Reverse gears were bad - gear teeth were fine but they were excessively wore where the fork/pads slide
2nd, 3rd, 4th keys and blocker rings were broke as well.
Totals up to $1500 with the level 4 rebuild + the $500 for the Quicktime bell, and the $100 in misc bolts and stuff I've bought.
Im just praying mine stays together.

1500 for a complete rebuild? what hp/torque is the level 4 supposed to be good for? sounds cheaper then i thought it'd be.98 z28, m6, monster clutch, eibach pro kit, custom twin turbo setup, 317 heads, z06 valve springs, arp rod bolts, 512rwhp at 10lbs. cobra eater

It's only $650 for the level 4 if your box isn't broke - much cheaper to upgrade it before you break it.Originally posted by BAMF TA View Postdang, thats not as bad as I figured... but it still doesnt mean I can afford it... tho I definitely need it... gruf

They really don't rate the hp/tq from what I see - it's simular to a Tick performance level 2 that is rated @ 600ft/lbs.Originally posted by Gaspo View Post1500 for a complete rebuild? what hp/torque is the level 4 supposed to be good for? sounds cheaper then i thought it'd be.2000 Formula

Thats too bad, I was picturing a Level 4 would be higher than that. I need something for ~1000lb/ftOriginally posted by Nocooler View PostThey really don't rate the hp/tq from what I see - it's simular to a Tick performance level 2 that is rated @ 600ft/lbs.

1000ft/lb's seriously? Most rate them conservative - as Larry stated the stock gear set is strong, just everything around it falls apart at higher power levels.Originally posted by BAMF TA View PostThats parts only I assume...

Also depends on how you shift it. I'm kind of rough on t56s, but thats because I shift them way too aggressively

Right now Im at ~600WTQ, this winter, with 14.5:1compression, and a few other things, itll be close to 700, which puts me over 800 at the flywheel, and im really considering a 2-300 shot just because.
Ive been shifting like a girl. you know... granny shifting and not double clutching like I should...Originally posted by my95z28 View PostAlso depends on how you shift it. I'm kind of rough on t56s, but thats because I shift them way too aggressively

800 is because of the 2-300 shot right or are you swapping out the upper end?Originally posted by BAMF TA View PostYep

Liberty hit me the same way. Ended up paying 5-600 more than estimated.....mine only had 15k on it! Something stinks with these trans dudes.sigpic

So you're really shooting for a min of 850 at the motor - that considering your 10bolt and an M6. So, really talking new heads and a crazy intake - sheetmetal, ITB right? What rear end?Originally posted by BAMF TA View PostThis winter, I will port/mill my heads, bigger cam, new intake. My goal is 700RWHP all motor. then the nitrous.sigpic
