Just going to throw this out there. . . The 3.8 SC is a VERY potent powerplant. My '98 GTP is rated at 240hp and does 0-60 in under 7 seconds. That's bone stock, through the parasitic FWD transaxle. In a properly done RWD setup with a manual trans, it's not too hard to believe that a S/C'ed 3800 SII Camaro could manage sub-6 second 0-60 times and less parasitic power loss through the drivetrain when compared to the FWD GTP/SSEI/SS.

That said, it's not a direct swap, and it would take MUCH more time, effort, and money to do it right compared to just doing a V8 swap. If you really want to get respectable power from a V6, check out some of the FI cars over on FullThrottleV6.com, there are a few that would embarrass some LS1's.

Honestly, a 350 swap would be the most effective way to double your power, and it would cost you half as much as going with a FI V6. That would leave you money for performance upgrades, supporting modifications, and some body and paint work.

Don't think I'm trying to get you to take the easy way out, I've owned a V6 F-Body and 2 V8 F-Bodies, and trust me, the V8 was put in these cars for a reason.

                      Now, a supercharged 383 stroker with a 6-speed behind it. . . Don't get me started. lol

Looks like good progress Dakota. I have seen an L67 in several 4th gens. It can be done and a third gen will allow you much more room than a 4th gen will. It is a very cool concept. Please if you do choose to make the swap keep up updated. I love seeing oddball engine combos that work.

A lot of this stuff is tricky, not just a simple bolt on but don't get discouraged. I have seen many people give up on their ideas when then going gets tough. But I have also seen many finish their projects . Us V6 geeks are too few and far between. I am just glad that my Firebird is coming back together finally.
