      Truck harnesses are a *****! The Impala will likely have the PCM mounted on the driver side with most of the wiring tucked between the engine and the firewall.

        I don't think it was that bad, plus it gives me a chance to make it clean and neat

          Big things popping...decided to go with the 4th gen trans cable, picked up from the local dealer, 47 bucks so not bad at all. Wiring is complete and fits very well in the car. Come Monday, its getting new rubber mounted, Ill pull the rear axles for longer wheel studs, double check everything to make sure its all mounted and tight. PCM will also be dropped off at Billy Briggs' shop for a bench tune to get the car moving, and onto the dyno for additional tuning.

          This coming March with be the 3yr anniversary that I picked up the car. I missed every show at Bakers since I had it, so Im glad it will be at 10th annual show this yr. maybe in white primer, but it will be there.

            Glad to hear someone is making some progress.. Mine still runs but as of now it will be coming out this spring exactly the same as when I put it away. Maybe some new tires. lol. It is a reliable driver the way it sits so I cant see tearing it all apart until I have all or most of the pieces I need to do this engine swap. Cant wait to hear yours run! What year is the motor that you have? Is it going to be all stock or do you have upgrades installed or in the works?

              as of now its stock, is came out 2005 police Tahoe, locally here in Michigan, 5.3 706 heads, ls6 springs, ls1 intake, 2013 mustang fuel injectors, I have a ls6 cam sitting in my dining room waiting to go in.

                Nice, I have been hearing that a cam swap with some upgraded heads and these things will run really good. A friend of the family is a big fox body mustang guy, but they all have LS motors in them. He was telling me that it wont take much at all to pull 350-400hp out of the motor I have. Cant wait to get going on it.

                  386 hp @ 6000 rpm and max 373.1 ft lbs of torque at 5000 rpm.
