  • [Project] Project White Out 2011

Well as of yesterday Im yet again another 3rd gen owner.

I pick up this 91 camaro rs for $400.00 bucks yesterday, out in Port Huron. Here are a couple pics of the car mounted on the trailer for its trip back to my house.

This car is gonna be done right with some updated mods from a 4th gen rear end, 4th gen front and rear seats. Updated lowered suspension, new paint etc. I know it looks rough but its only around the edges. Im replacing the hood and front fenders, bumper cover is also getting replaced. 350 tpi is getting dropped in which is also still being reworked and cleaned up. This isnt a car Im gonna get done this summer. However it will be getting a lot of attention through out the summer. Since the gf and I are not together any longer we broke up 2 months ago, 8 yrs and talking marriage and looking at rings. Now I gotta start all over again, I been quiet about the hole thing but I gotta get my feelings out and keep my head clear and move forward right ? Right, and what better way to do that seperat from work is having a project. Maybe that one car show or Mifbody gathering will spark a question or interest in my car and some how work out for a long haul. anyway enough of all that back to project.

on the way home we seen a giant pig so I had to take pics of that too

Sweet! Can't wait to see what you do with it. Looks like you're on 696 westbound @ Coolidge?

So what's up with the rear end? Looks to be pushed back a couple inches?

reason for the name of Project White Out is that I plan on keeping the white color, which Im usually a black or blue kind of color type guy. However my brother has an 85 iroc that is black and he wants to turn it blue. Which these cars are giving him and I something to have in common. With that in mind I didnt want to have the same car, so I have been falling in love with white with chrome wheels and clear parking lenses. I might add a second color later but not a 100% on that yet either. Im going to be posting some pics later tonight as well.

This car is from Florida brought up to Michigan in 6-19-2009 driving for that summer and parked in the family pole barn since. Thats when I found it on CL and offered $400.00 for it. Interior was out and set aside but its all there, dash is pretty cracked up. I pulled back the carpet and floor pans are mint, along with some florida beach sand.

nothing big the bolt was out, allowing the LCA to slide out of the mounting point which the rear axle would look like that, nothing a 4th gen axle and new LCA's and relocation brakets with lowering springs cant fix lol. No damage to the under carriage or proof of tires or anything rubbing

thanks James, I always look at your car in the post and love just how clean and mean it looks. Cant go wrong with the deep dish wheels either, I want the look but want to be different.

                    some other trailer pics.

some pics from laying under the trailer. other then some oil from what looks like from the front oil pan gasket or rear main pan seal its really clean.

here is the reason the drivers side of the rear axle is sitting back in the wheel well so far. Thought it was missing a bolt but the LCA cam apart, I never seen anything like that happening before.

the black 3rd gen is my lil brothers car, 85 iroc w/ 305 tpi auto hard top, his needs very little tlc inside and out but it pretty solid all around.
those rims arnt back there 17" eagle alloys, not my first pick but all they need is some cleaning, polishing and some elbow grease wont fix, maybe after she is all fixed up I'll find some 18" chrome irocs
