    • Just waiting for spring to come so I can strip my parts off the bird, put stock pieces back on, get it running, and sell it.

      Quick opinion question:
The Camaro has FLAWLESS dark/light gray seats in it, no tears, cuts, rips, stains, or anything. . . In my Firebird, I have a set of dark grey leather seats out of a '98 Camaro SS, but one of my friends decided to get in with a utility knife in his back pocket, which put 2 slices in the passenger seat. Other than the normal bolster wear on the driver's side and the slices on the passenger seat, they are in great shape. Should I put the leather seats in the Camaro, or just leave them in the Firebird? I could keep both sets, I have a set of seats just like the ones in the camaro right now, that came out of my old '94 sixer, but they are torn, stained, and just generally look like hell.

I want to eventually put either Recaro or Corbeau racing buckets in it and remove the back seat, but I couldn't even venture a guess as to when I'll be able to afford that; my point is that after I get the seats I want, then I'll just have 2 sets of seats laying around.

      • leave the cloth in there, why bother swapping it if your going to do it again down the road.

        • Leather or Cloth, I'd take whatever is better condition, which it sounds like the cloth is...so yeah, keep the cloth, especially if you'd like to put some nice aftermarket seats in it later on.

                • Don't you have to keep wiping it down? Just one more thing I'd rather not deal with.

                    • what are you doing in the car that requires to clean it so often lol cloth absorbs a lot and stains easier and it can smell bad over time. Leather is so much easier to maintain especially in an f body considering its not soft plushy leather and it wipes right up.

                        • I've never cleaned the seats in our van except for once, and they look like shit. I just assumed you had to keep them wiped down so they didn't dry out and crack.

                          • I would take nasty leather over cloth any day.
