  • Cool pieces are coming together....a little a CNC work, some powder and little -10 re-routing, this might come together as planned

    • Looking good. What location are you mounting the pump?

Off of the passenger side cylinder head.....uses the tensioner bracket for their pulley, hence my previous request.

I figured as much. I'm curious to see how it turns out.

          • vacuum pump itself is badass, yours is so damn clean it takes it to a whole new level, the valvecover bling will look great too.

            • Looks awesome! Is there an issue you are trying to solve with this, or is it just a "for the hell of it" upgrade?

Have to admit it was a "for the hell of it" upgrade. Engine is pretty tight, so if I were to see 5-7hp I'd be lucky....though I've seen some guys make as much as 25! Selling off the AC stuff and my Trutrac, pretty much made this a freebie. Looks cool and is functional, so what the hell....

                • I've never even heard of a vacuum pump being used to help make more power before, pretty slick.

Hey, you never know. A lot of guys swear by those things. Either way, should be badass!

Helps with windage and ring seal. The looser your ring gaps and others are the more you'll benefit from one.

                      • Usually used for low tension oil rings. Also helps sealing with high rpm low thickness ring packs. Some have made 40hp more with a pump

                              • Phase one complete....

                                - VC's off to the machine shop, then off to body shop.
                                - Pump / lines fitted and routed, just need to make connections.
                                - List of the finish "details" complete....few things going out Monday that should add some dimension.

Doesnt look terrible. Should fit the theme nicely when finished....

Vent is going to end up "married" to the oil fill cap.

Was checking radiator overflow hose clearance and snapped this....thought it was a cool pic. At least MAST would think it is
