        • Brent, have you driven it at all to have an opinion on the Hydraboost setup? I remember you indicating it was kind of difficult to install?

Have about 20 easy miles on it but first impression is I LOVE this brake system. Gotta be ready when you hit the brakes or it'll bounce your face off the dash. V-brakes probably help a little, but the feeling between vac assist vs non is night and day. No worries of fade with this set-up.

Installation was pretty straight forward but tedious....only had to buy one fitting that I needed to make it work for me, but everything else was there with very good instructions.

            • That sounds perfect. Honestly, I love touchy brakes like that. I have C5 Z06 fronts but I'm finding the pedal just doesn't inspire confidence since I have a big cam.

I wish the kit wasn't so pricey but I guess that's how it goes.

Exact same boat I am in. The c5 brakes made a huge difference in stopping power on my car, but the pedal feels like crap IMO. I will have to go back and re read on your setup Brent.

                • You might want to make sure your system isnt an issue first. Big vacuum sucking cams or intakes like mine are both good reasons to go this route. The nice part about THIS hyrdaboost system is that its desiged for fbodies. Made things much easier IMO...

A few of the highlights below. All the material comes with the kit...you have to make lines.

                  • Having your power steering pump/reservoir on the driver's side sure looks a lot more convenient than doing this on an LT1

Seems to be a common response to my posts here lately .

I knew it wasnt going to be easy....its heading back to Kovach's on Friday for RE-alignment. No root cause yet....steering is a little mushy, wheel not returning back to center and binds BADLY on the right front side. Suspension seems to be binding everywhere - front and back. Going to be under it the rest of week fiddle *****ing around with EVERYTHING.
