    • I have a block laying in the garage.
      It has special plans.

        • You have it all wrong.
First the block is .030 over now and was told its on the loose side.
So its going .040 over which will make for a 385ci.
So you started wrong from the beginning

The heads are not going to be TFS, have something special in mind for that.
Heads I have planned will out perform AI/LE TFS heads for 1150 cheaper
The only part you have correct so far is I am still thinking carb on top.

          EDIT:

I see you editted. 11.1:1 is to low for my taste.

Lol im just making a suggestion, i didn't see your were already a .040 overbore.... And be careful with the compression deal the more you jack it up on pump gas the more it narrows your tuning window and at some point you will have to start to pull timing for it to be safe. Guys run mid 12's all the way to 13:1 but at the same time every single aspect of there motor is 100% working, excellent cooling, tuning is there, and also like i said you'll have to pull timing like mine did and ran like shit. e85 might be up your alley... but hey that photo of that car went low 9's and ran exactly what i listed! anyways your converted 1 gen sbc headed, single plane, carbed race car can have a lane with my factory headed, factory intake, factory ignition system/pcm, 11 year old garbage any day of the week my friend it is nice to see your smart though and did the suspension first and not the motor!

            • I wouldn't go past 12.5:1 on pump gas, unless I put in a meth injection.

I'm now thinking of instead of buying heads and cam for this engine just starting to buy parts for the other block.
The other block is going to cost a pretty penny.

                • Just went out into the garage and removed the rear shocks. Seems the bushings on the top needed to be changed haha.
So all ready to put in the rear shocks.
Also took a picture of my AN setup on the sending unit. Thanks to Kyle for the pictures of his setup.

What is the major difference about going single plane? Ive heard they are more top end oriented. But i wonder if isnt something i should look into for my next build.

hmmmm ya mainly for big rpm motors, also guys that run a ton of spray (over a 200) want more even distribution and don't want to flood the intake... Not saying you couldn't run a single plane on a 7000rpm motor and less but from all the guys that i see running them on NA set ups are spinning them upwards of 8 grand... quik95 runs a wilson throttle body with a ls style throttle body, joe O Ran a 4bl type throttle body.... If your wanting to do a solid roller, short stroke set up i'm sure AI will hook you up and tell you what and what not to run... A well ported factory has been proven witha good port job but i think for what your wanting to do a single plane with a 4bl throttle body with some spacers would make some sick power up top. a short stroke combo should run pretty good, i know GUMP that runs a stock class in ihra runs a like 330" lt1 and it runs like 10.50's with a stock head, stock intake, and stock throttle body!

                        here ya go

                        • Is GUMP's 330 running that number on spray or NA? I only want to hit 400rwhp or so NA but i wouldnt be opposed to spray on top of that.

it's NA strictly... I talked to him last year and i believe it runs a th200 trans and weighs in right around 3200 i think...

This car is a ported stock casting head and intake 355, fast xfi, pump gas and made 500 to the tires through a six speed.... i think 450 to 500 is more realistic for you! Better start upgrading some suspension

                            • THIS IS AN OUTRAGE ITS GONE OFF TOPIC!!!

                              Kidding.

I tested sprayed the rear sway bar end link bracket with rubberized undercoating. Going to see how it turns out. If its good, going to spray under the rear today.
