Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!

Nice seeing you again Peter. Hope you enjoy the stall. Maybe I missed it and I meant to ask today but what's your plan for cam and heads?

Removed the headers, transmission/TC, and flexplate
Here you can get an idea of how nasty my headers are right now. They're ceramic-coated, but the coating is flaking off pretty badly.
So VHT header paint, or get them recoated?
(on a side note, it's amazing how much easier it is to work with longtubes with the motor out of the car )
Here's the torque converter shield:
judging from the pool of oil, I think my rear main seal is shot.
Here's the only thing that went wrong tonight: caught one of the bolts with my wrench when I was disconnecting one of the wires on the back of the starter, snapped it right off
guess I have to add a new starter to the shopping list. It's not like this one was only a year old or anything
Anyway, I got the transmission off:
birdie2000, I think I'm about ready to pick up that engine and start swapping stuff over

Unfortunately I'm super busy this week, my parents are gonna be visiting this weekend and I'm booked the rest of this week. The earliest I can do is next Wednesday.

I'll probably be able to get a truck from work we can use. It's plastered in EcoBoost stickers, so it doesn't get taken out overnight very often

Made some decent progress tonight. Got the intake manifold and valve covers switched over. Next up is the timing cover.

Pretty much the only parts I still have to buy are plugs, wires, and (potentially) injectors. I really don't know much about any of these...I always just used the regular Champion plugs and whatever brand wires you get at any auto parts store. What plugs/wires would you guys suggest for my setup? Also, should I step up to 30# injectors, or will I be fine with stock?
