I've got storage insurance on it now, sort of conceding that it will be a while until it's back on the road. My goal is to have it all back together and running before the Woodward Dream Cruise.

Looks good so far - I give you credit for doing all that work with only the small tool box and out in the open. Not the most ideal environment, but you're still making do with it and getting the job done.

so I just heard from the powdercoater that he can't get the throttle body apart to coat it. What should I get coated instead then? I'm thinking alternator, but then I'd have to take that apart...any other suggestions?

Agreed with Fred. My dad is going to have an extra accessory bracket soon and I told him I want to buy it off him and have it powdercoated. Would look great.

Ended up going with the intake elbow. It wasn't the same shade of silver as the CAI or the STB, so now it will match a bit better. Took one look at the alternator bracket, and was like, "Yeah...not happening." lol

Powdercoat >>> Paint. My blower is 3/4 painted, 1/4 bare aluminum as all the paint is flaking off.

I was very pleased with Dynasty Powdercoating in Canton. Apparently he does specials every month, so keep your eye out if you wanna get something done

well I bought a different type of disconnect tool and, lo and behold, it took a total of about 5 seconds to remove both fuel lines. smh...
