Darren no advice coming from me here man. i told you everything i knew and all my advice and its turning out really good. but like previously said for that rust. if your not gonna cut it out and replace the piece with a patch panel. take it all the way down to metal. and fill over the bare metal. looks really good man. keep it up.

Darren and I have talked about it. I guess I'm being put in charge of assembly of the new engine. Darren just needs to get all the parts. I wouldn't mind building it over a few different days but I would like to do it in stages. Like one night build the short block, another port the heads/install the, and the next time do the intake, misc parts, and drop 'er in.

But if you know of one let me know Curt! Also color does not matter at this point.

Just picked that up for free off another member, hopefully that will be my "flamer" motor and I'll build or get built a nice little cruiser with it with a tad more HP then my 305... Still gottta pick some parts off Jon tho, just havent made it over there yet.

We need to talk more, and I think the perfect time would be right after I drop it off at the paint shop, as you can see I have been a little busy But I will be sanding and painting the engine bay when we do this as well. But yes I need some direction and you were the first to offer

Little update tonight: Kinda a 1 step forward 2 or 3 steps back type of night. No pictures I didnt feel up to taking pics its the first rough spot in the project and just kinda crappy. But some more sanding went down a little paint got over a few things, not only the car... Bang on my hood for a good hour and for those who knew how bad it was well its about 1 inch from being flush with the nose now but lets not talk about how we made that happen. I looked at another car tonight still might buy it if I can work the right deal but I am going to look and hopefully get a hood tomorrow with Brian but we will see if this hood is what I was "told" it is, that has not been the case with the others. Just look at the pics above and thats about more of what we did tonight.

BIG THANKS TO BIG JON for coming over again and shooting the shit and working out in the garage with me. Couldnt have gotten my car this far without him helping me, defiantly worth the subway I have bought him two nights now But I have a feeling I'll hook him up as well
