Couldn't have said it better myself. The back end looks pretty sweet as it is, with the tinted tails. At one point, I really wanted to do the whole Hi-Rise spoiler, T/A bumpers and side skirts thing, but I thought about it a little more, and how overplayed is that? T/A owners have all that, and the people who mod their cars with the T/A parts have that, but only a Formula is a Formula. I've never seen anyone with a T/A swap out the bumpers for the Formula ones. Plus, it's more of a sleeper like this.

Thanks, I agree! The car looks completely different with these wheels than it did with the T/A or 'vette wheels. It looks even better in real life, but the photos reflect the difference quite well. Wait 'til I get some new rubber on there, I'm thinking of doing the BFH mod to fit some 315's out back. . .

I'm really hoping it still sounds somewhat refined after the headers and ORY are installed, I may have to pick up a stock exhaust to put on it, I want it to be relatively quiet with the cutout closed.

        • Man those look great!! As for the whole low rise, high rise spoiler, I plan on a high rise for mine, not gonna change the ground effects though. Just TA hatch and Ram Air Hood.

I have a set of ground effects for the car, but I think I'm going to end up selling them, they wouldn't look right on my car. I would like to get an air-ride setup, but that's not going to happen until I hit the lottery. lol

I do believe I have started a trend.

Don't give yourself too much credit. . . lol I must say though, after seeing your car in person (after the hood swap), you had me looking at ram air hoods for a while. Like I told you though, I want something a little different. Still wondering what that might be, but when I find it, my car is going to look even more "refined". That's really what I'm going for, I want my car to look decent, but still look like a Formula. It's already unique, but I want to take it a step further.

Wait until I get a decent job or go back to the Military, my car is going to be sick. New paint and a hood, along with getting the body work done and cleaning it up some, that's going to work wonders for the appearance of the Formy.

                • So everyone is in agreement then? My wheels are sick? Just trying to get a feel for what everyone thinks. I know I love them, they make the car, IMO. Just looking for that next subtle mod that's really going to make the car "pop", probably a hood. Still trying to decide my opinion of the high-rise spoiler, I love the way my car looks now, but the high rise is still a sweet look on a 4th gen 'bird. . .

                      • Well, I found out a neighbor of mine has a semi-portable oxy-acetylene torch, so I'll have that around when I get started on the headers. Should make things a LOT easier.

Got some work done on Ben's car tonight, fixed the brakes in Mom's car, so I now have my truck back. lol I'll be getting started on the headers probably next Monday, I'm going to get the garage organized this week, get everything cleaned out and re-organized, and I have to get the Monte Carlo set up for the weekend, I'm driving my sister to her Junior Prom in it, she asked if I would be her escort, since she's going with a group of her friends. Hopefully she'll enjoy it, I know Dad was always talking about taking her to Prom in the Monte Carlo, so it should be nice for that to happen. It's still hard to believe that Dad is gone, it's been rough, but we're getting by. I've been working out a lot and keeping busy with the car, it helps to keep my mind off of things.

I'll get some pics up as I make more progress. I installed a few of my parts last week, and nobody noticed anything other than the wheels at Woodward, so I'm going to keep that stuff a secret as long as possible, do the "reveal" all at once at the Meet and Greet.

You know some of us might not have noticed your different changes on Woodward because it was the first time we have ever seen your car in person... But I noticed the large tac and gauge on the dash/steering wheel has that always been there? But it was also cold and we were more concerned with staying warm then the cars at that point as well
