Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
Got myself a set of tires (255/295 KDW2s), a set of shocks (bilstein), and a catback(Borla Adj)... I think that is that last "big money" Ill spend to get it on the road, only a couple things left now.
I have to say holy crap man. Your age and what you have accomplished so far. Kudos, I tip my hat to you. Hope your not dropping your fed school money on the car. I did that and now I am a paying back a very large school loan. Great welding and fabricating. You might want to look into the trade after you get out of school. There are a lot of awesome car shops in Michigan that you can make good money at. I did it for a few years and loved it! Others have mentioned they wish they had the money you have had with this. I wish I had the time again. Get it out of your system before you have a family that you will be giving your time too. Now get that thing done! You are so close now, of course considering how far you have come.
Thanks Dan, I really appreciate it. Sometimes I get frustrated about how long its taken, but then I realize how lucky I am to afford this at my age. I have been working since I was 14, and since being at Kettering, I make some healthy cash at my co-op. Everything was cash, besides ~4k here in the last month just to get it finished, but that will be payed off in the next 2 months, on a 0% interest card. I have gone back an forth about doiing it as a career, and I appreciate the complement, but I decided I wanted to keep it as my "release" from work, not my actual work.
As far as a status update, Ill have to get some pictures, Im focusing on the fuel system right now, and am getting my ass kicked trying to figure out the supply line from the FPR to the stock LS7 rail. but hopefully Ill get that figured out today. (If, I work on it, Im supposed to go to Albion to see my girlfriend, but if blake has some time to help... that might have to wait. The two of us may be able to finish it up tonight.

Kettering! All our co-ops are from Kettering. You will have to take a look at our website. www.medallionis.com. Most of the artwork is mine. I design gauge systems and touch displays for ski boats and a lot of other fun vehicles, in addition to military. I have been jumping up and down to get them to make an aftermarket automotive system... I have a pretty nice camaro I can give them as a test bed. It has gotten closer now that we are doing some really cool aftermarket Harley Davidson gauges. Check them out on the site. Our new dial manufacturing system allows me to put a picture of your grandmother on the gauges if you want. Let me know if you are looking to jump to a different co-op company across state... I really can't imagine you would, but I thought I would offer. I am a Industrial designer. What are you studying? I think I am going to head over to the meet and greet. Let me know if you are heading over. I might bring a friend that is another Kettering Grad. I will be watching this post. I look forward to seeing more! And let me know if you need any engineering help. My recommendation on the fuel system is pick a good part manufacturer and get ahold of their application support staff and send them a few photos of what you are doing... they will know your ligit and help with a ton of recommendations. I did that with the late model 6speed swap to my 82Z. Spohn, sent me a lot of info on the pros and cons of some of his parts he was recommending. Price vs. benefit. Look forward to catching up.

Sweet, but couldn't the money for the sound system have been spent on a new rear?
I thought about it, but when I get a rear end, I want to get a clutch, built trans, wheels, and suspension at the same time, so I can hook and make it worth it.
Just putting a 9" in doesnt really get me anywhere.
I plan on getting a narrowed rear for clarification.
so for now, i just want to have an enjoyable street car. i guess....
Im not saying I made the right choice... just letting you know what I thought about when making my choice.
