So i think i may have found a cam but want some opinions? Its a billet core cam from Lloyd Elliot. Specs are 223/230 .565/.565 109 LSA. It has less than an hour of run time on it. And its $200 shipped? But i am also looking into buying a cc305? What do you guys think is a better idea?

thats a big cam and you would have to run stock lifters. with 1.6 rockers you would increase lift to .595/.595 and gm says max lift on stock pistons is .585. just saying. so a stock top end with a cam that big you may end up floating a valve then blamo lol

that cam looks very mild to me, why would you be limited to that lift on stock pistons? You would obviously need new springs so why not upgrade the lifters s well. I'm not quite sure what you mean by your statement Fred.

Yea jeff i plan on upgrading the valve train and putting new bearings and seals throughout the whole motor.

max lift on a lt1 is .585 without flycutting the pistons. from what i read on a gm website.

That duration is really mild, but the lift is huge. Thats bigger than a gm847.

thats surprising, you can run quite a bit of lift on an LS1 and they don't have valve reliefs in the pistons.

personally id go with the cc305 with your setup. bigger isnt always better.
