Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

Car sounds GREAT Larry, good job..Just off track for a second, can you tell me the measurements for doing the "TRAP" door method for the fuel pump?thanks Mike
There isn't a really exact measurement, but here's the pic courtesy of the_merv on LS1Tech.
You'll have to eyeball it from the pics but it's roughly like an inch from each "dimple" and then you also want to do a little "L" to the panel to make accessing the quick disconnect lines easier.

yeah Mike quite easy, there are 2 valleys look at pic, stay about 3/4 to 1" in at the top by the back seat same thing 3/4 to 1 from bend this is to give you enough overlap to screw a metal plate back over hole. from the top cut towards the back its 12" read this as you look at pic and I think you understand.
sounds ****** Larry you will have to get some in car sounds..

well sort of back on the road, got 3 issues, 2 of which may very well keep me from picnic Saturday. 1. I have a nasty drip oil leak from oil level sensor. 2. and most importantly left bank o2 has broken wire or sensor bad. Sensor is easy to fix I can swap it to right side to see if its bad. Broken wire, well thats a little tougher. 3. Needs new fuel pump thats on order. but could drive to picnic on the one thats in the car. So we'll see how it goes today. Trenton is to far to to take a chance and end up with big tow bill.

The level sensor shouldn't be too bad on that. 'Course, it'd probably be another oil change. Hell, worse comes to worse, just hitch a ride in RA.

I've got about 185k right now. I had the shop do a life expectancy test on the pump, back in March. Typically, the fuel pump runs at about 5k rpm. at 3k, they are considered unuseful. Mine was at 3200 rpm. I also rarely let it get below half a tank though.
