youre right, i guess i was talking about barbie dolls.

I dont care if its in a different thread, but the way i see it you are talking down to people who dont have the ability to split a thread.
I might have lumped yours in with his - but Mike and him were debating the heat temperature of a 2 stroke versus a 4 stroke... nothing to do with his engine thread.

      http://www.mifbody.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=32163

And take it however you want, quit getting your panties in a knot. I was simply asking to try and keep this thread at least somewhat on topic. That wasn't talking down to anyone. If you need to debate it more, send me an IM or something but this is simply ridiculous that you're questioning/disagreeing with taking the 2 stroke vs 4 stroke exhaust temperature to a different thread.

      • Got more of the engine back together today. Dan came over and him and dad did everything in the engine bay while I worked on the stuff underneath the car. Can't help it I was the smart one who picked to do all the stuff I can do laying down! About all that dad has left to do is:

        • install his starter
        • more coolant
        • put oil in it
        • install the battery
        • attach the steering knuckle
        • hook up the interior 3 connections from the engine harness
        • bleed the brakes
        • DRIVE!!!!

            • Can't wait until you finish to hear the car. I am considering pacesetters for my car because I don't want to deal with the fitment of lpp. hearing it in person should help with the decision.

              on a side note

I did not realize my post caused such a stir

              my apologies for any inconvenience

Honestly, as long as money isn't an issue, I would never settle on pacesetters and get LPPs every day of the week. The pacesetter's fitment was better, yes, because it doesn't hug the block or the car as much as the LPPs do. Dan can chime in on this, but from what I saw as far as scratch marks, his Pacesetters didn't seem to hit concrete too much - but his Y-pipe he had a guy modify it so it tucked up against the body more.

Personally, I'd much rather sacrifice having to deal with a couple fitment issues - that you very well might not have, their new batch is supposed to be better - and it's stainless steel. IMHO, the stainless steel is enough reason alone to get LPPs.

                  • Well should finish getting car back together today, and start it tonight. Only small little things left to do.
                    1. Bleed Brakes.
                    2. Install PCM.
                    3. Consul and shift.
                    4. Battery
                    5. O2 sensors
                    6. Y pipe and exhaust.
                    7. Starter.
                    8. Steering Knuckle.

                    Then fire her up.

                        • Dan came over today and helped my dad get the final stuff done to the engine. Unfortunately, I got home just in time to hear the first non-fire-up. Everything seems like it's working but the fuel pump seems like it's toast. All the electrical going to the pump seems fine but we can't hear it priming and there's no fuel at the schraeder valve. So.. either the pump is fried or something else is wrong.

                            • Have you tried jumping the pump on a spare battery or something to see if it works?

                              Used to own a Firebird.

                              • Battery is great - it's cranking the engine over and over but it's not firing. Dad and dan measured voltage at the plug on the body which goes to the fuel pump and it had 12v on the right wires so it seems like the only thing it can be is the fuel pump.
