    • like i said on facebook, LT4 springs are a cheap alternative. I would pesronally do them now, stock springs lose their strength after so many miles anyway.

      very good progress larry.

      • With that tiny of a window, yeah, it would be rather pushing it. You figure at upper speeds, those things are going to flex and stretch and do all sorts of stuff. The more room to breathe the better with higher ratios. I can't tell you what it was like when I went through and researched the right springs for mine and I didn't change the ratio, but the valve lift went from .412 to .512 total.

        • I thought you could but I was wrong.

I looked up Fred's stuff also and .030 is not enough room

          Progress looks good Larry.

                      • So yesterday I got new gasket on oil pan and everything on engine done. I was able to manuver the engine under the car and its ready to drop the bird on the engine asm. That is really easier with 2 people because of clearances, so when B get home friday nite maybe we'll get that done. If not this is as far as I get, till I get back from Vacation in Florida. Two glorious weeks on the beach in Ft. Meyers.
