ok IM BROKE!! SO new game plan! Im just going to finish what body work I started, and Paint the car with polyurathane black primer, so its not 6 differnt colors, and Just put what money I do get towards the drivetrain, so I can enjoy it for the summer. So far I got the doors back on, fenders on, and front facia on. As far as the engine goes, I got my block back, cleaned, bored .30 over. I reconditioned all my rods, and balanced them. I just need to balance my pistons, Then I can send it to get my full rotating assembally ballanced. I bought the cam/main/rod bearings (Clevite) Miloden oil pump with pick up. new oil pan, brass freeze plugs, TCI flywheel, Professinal products Harmoic Balancer, Cloyes double roller timing chain, air gap intake, demon 750 carb, High torque mini starter, Sealed power pistons, eagle crank, stock 5.7 rods. The things I need to finish my motor is I need to buy my cam, distributer, and heads.

x2 with James. If your going to drive it, use sealer.
primer lets moisture in, sealer will seal your body from the weather.
When I did my car and stripped it down, we put sealer on 1st, then the primer.sigpic

Yeah thats what I had on my mind, 2k sealer, I already even bought it, I dont know why I said primer.Originally posted by WMCCjames View PostI would use a black 2K sealer, not primer...sealers don't have to be top coated and they have a satin finish to them when dry.
Thanks though.
Ill get pics tomarow

Ur supposed to use primer then sealer, well atleast I did. Cause 2k Primer is sandable, RTS Sealer, isnt the best for sanding.Originally posted by tenpin842 View Postx2 with James. If your going to drive it, use sealer.

Yeah It nice getting down to the bare metal and starting all over, No worries with old paint jobs, and old body work. Yes I will be painting it my self, The engine bay was the second thing I ever painting with a gun, and it turned out very well (to me at least, it definitely not perfect) And this is what I like doing (body and paint) so I'm going to keep learning before I go to school for it next year.Originally posted by WMCCjames View PostNice progress! I so wanna strip my car down and reshoot it now that I have a little more paint experience. Are you going to painting yourself?
