  • Yeah, Autometer doesn't make a full pillar replacement for my car either.

      • Thanks Shawn - yeah Ridings pointed out where the port was when I picked up the trans from him.

          • Well - we got work done but not as much as I had hoped. We really took our time getting the wiring all neat and tidy and we also had to extensively modify the stock A-pillar to fit the gauge pod cover onto the a-pillar. It's not as clean of an install of the a-pillar as I'd like, but it works...

We have the 12v constant, 12v switched, and ground hooked up for all three gauges. Vacuum gauge is done 100% but I still have to hook up the senders for the fuel pressure and the trans temperature. Getting closer though.

              • Too bad that vac gauge doesn't go positive like mine.

Gauges look really good in there!!!

So, when are you going about the fuel pump install? I kinda wanna see how this trap door is done (if it wouldn't be a problem if I stopped by).

I was hoping to have the fuel gauge installed already. I want to get it installed so I can see what the fuel pressure really is. For all I know the pump might be fine and it might be going lean simply because of the tuning.

                    • Oh, okay. Well keep us updated, I need reasons to drive the car long distances, and I really wanna see how it's done.

                      • All three gauges are fully hooked up - still have to do the wideband but I'm waiting for my bezel from 6LiterEater.

This morning we installed the fuel pressure sender and the PSI goes down to like 20psi at WOT. We changed the fuel filter but that didn't fix the PSI problem. Still low at WOT. Pump is next - probably will do it sometime tomorrow. Just happy to have the three gauges hooked up - trans temp going around the block only got up to 160*F. Vacuum stays around 15"Hg. PSI stays at 39 at idle, goes lower at WOT.

                        • LOL a vacuum gauge? I woulda thought you'd want an oil pressure gauge with the rough start this season. haha
