Car looked great but wasn't as loud as I thought it would be. I was over by Ron and Larry's birds when it was started up.

Thanks guys! I really appreciated how many people wanted to see (and hear) the car yesterday - it really made all the work worth it to see so many people interested in it at the show.- Brian Meissen

Well, just a little update on the car as a whole. We finally got under the car today to figure out all the rattles to the exhaust. Turns out both of the clamps for the headers to y-pipe were loose, and both of my O2s were loose...
Plus the y-pipe was hitting on the tunnel brace. So, we got all that fixed and now she doesn't rattle.

Will came over and worked on his Grand Prix again - our house is like the club house to work on cars.
It's cool though, as long as y'all don't mind working where ever space is available, I don't mind having people over to work on their cars.

Dad shot a picture of me cleaning the tips of Red Alert. They were black as black could be.

And here's some more pictures of my awesome ghetto rigging to the shift cable. I got a replacement cable from Dan last night out on Woodward (THANKS AGAIN, DAN!!!) - apparently they really upgraded the cable in 1997 compared to the '94 and '95 cables that we had.

Will has done his brakes at our house - and he took care of Angie's Taurus's brakes too. This time he was replacing the front air dam on his car.

Can you argue that it's "revolutionary"? Perhaps. Just because it's "new" and "different" doesn't mean it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.

why does putting it in D give you more torque? I do that in my truck when im on hall road and want more 'at speed' throttle response... but not seeing how it would help from a dig?-Joel

Not sure entirely - might not even be that it's more torque just better throttle response? Maybe because it's only going into 3rd instead of into 4th?- Brian Meissen

i was wondering if there are different line pressure/tq tables for whether you are in 3rd or 4th - i didnt think there were but if there are that could affect it... ive never messed with the tuning of an auto though.-Joel

Driving the car id 3rd or D as opposed to OD should not be different at all guys, the ONLY difference is that in OD the car shifts into OD or 4th lol. The only way it could be different is if the line pressure was turned up in 3rd which I don't think they do from the factory.Doing less with more
