  • X2, I wanna see how this runs compared to my car.

    • She looses traction quite easily on dry pavement, I have found that much out. I see a lot of fish tailing and new tires in my future.

CarPC was just installed but it looks like we never hooked up the positive wire for the amp or something... no power to the radio when the carPC is on. Oh well, the carPC is just to show function and fill a hole right now... it's all about the engine baby.

      • Bri, this (combined with the former) thread is a textbook example of a build.

The good, the bad, and the solutions.

        Very, very well done.

Congrats on sorting it all out.

Just have to reinstall the carPC and vacuum the interior and then she's all set to rock and roll for the M&G!!!

Drove to Murrays and got tons of supplies - can't wait!!!! She drives SO damned nice. to Steve
I know you're just as anal about your car as I am and I understand if you turn this offer down, but if you need help detailing it tomorrow morning we'll be there around 9.

              • awesome that it wasnt really oil! When I was first reading I was like there is no way that is oil, hes got to be playing some sort of sick joke on brian. lol I believe you will find that your car can do much more than just chirp second. My bolt-on ls1 goes sideways from a 30 roll and squalks second no problem. Surely your car can do even more

                        • Thank you guys! I can't remember for sure who it was but someone said they were going to go play putt putt golf after the M&G - I'm sure they could hear me when I left.

Dan [mcssmostwanted] taught me that if I put it in drive instead of over-drive that it seems to have more torque and will break loose a lot easier. He told me to try it so I pulled into the middle left turn lane on 7 Mile by Angie's house, came to a stop, put it into "D", then hit the gas about half throttle. We instantly were facing perpendicular to the road (fish tailed 90 degrees to the road), but she straightened out real fast too...

Angie got her first real ride in the car and I'll let her speak for herself on here but let's just say she was giggling a lot after we took off from a light at 23 and Schoehnerr. We "raced" a red Grand Prix off the line - it's one of those intersections were the right lane ends after you get to the other side of the intersection so I had to "race" the person to get ahead of him and get over. I also showed her how quickly it gets to speed.

Tomorrow's order of business: 250 mile oil change mark, fluid checks, and exhaust adjustments (rattles against the panhard)
