So on the piston rings you think that because you guys honed the cylinders and you used the same piston rings that the rings were to slopy in the cylinder. I know that the cylinder walls should have some roughness to them in order to promote oil retention. The question i have is how did you align the slits in the piston rings. The slits should alternate sides like if your wrist pin is at position 3 and 9 o'clock then your piston rings should alternate where the slits are in order to prevent massive blow by and leak down. It seems really weird that that much gas worked its way into the oil... Well hope everything turns around for you guys. It seems like lately everyone on here has had a streak of bad luck.
Although if you did hone the top more than the bottom and created a "loose spot" than it would make sense that you were getting a lot of gas in the bottom end.
