  • I would probably pull the rear cover off and loosen the pan so when you reinstall it you can get it centered.
I think I have the tool to center it also if you want to.
most just slide the cover on and let it center itself. Just have to make sure it doesn't move when you tighten it.
also check the oil pressure sensor

    • would it be wise to put it back on and then tighten the pan bolts down first so it is flat to the pan, isn't that all that tool does anyways?

          • there are plates to make it flush to the block then a holding tool to center it over the crank. That tool is used with out the seal installed though

                    • Is this piece running yet or what Jeff? You've got about a week and a half to get that thing running so I can get my headers done. I'm sick of having my car being so quiet.

                      • Read my last few posts Mike yes it is running, there is even video evidence, but I'm currently tearing off the trans to fix an oil leak.

I know it's running. I meant is that leak fixed and you've burned off half your tires yet.

                            • nope, lots more money is still to be spent and I haven't even dropped the trans yet, I need an extra set of hands for that. Then I still have to buy all my exhaust clamps and bends and have someone help me build it and tack weld it, then my dad's neighbor can finish mig welding it and I can take the car to get an alignment and have the a/c recharged. After that its off to Dr Phil for a new tune and then once all that is done I'll be saving for new tires and a rear end
