Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

It was $300 per wheel. Typically it is $200 ish a wheel but because I had these widened to the Lips it was a little more. More work goes into it for widening to the lips such as grinding down the welds on the lip side so it is smooth for refinishing!
Worked a little more last night. Took them from 600 to 1200 and then to 2000. The polish I have isn't very good, hoping to pick up the good stuff here to make these pop even more!
1200 grit
2000 grit
Added a little polish by hand
Comparison of the polished vs the other one I still have to start!
Hey Jonny....it's been my experience that you will never be able to completely polish out the weld seams on aluminum. The finer you polish it the more it will stand out. You might find that you will have to settle for a fine brushed look. With regards to the polishing...what i do after 2000wet is use a 3m fine rubbing compound, then 3m Finesse compound, then actual mothers aluminum polish followed up my mother's billet. That will make it look better than chrome.

awesome, thanks for the tips!! Going to polish up the other one here in a few minutes, had to go get more sandpaper!
thats typical for these corvette owners they like that gaudy look
Corvette pricks! I been thinking about taking my 16s off to put 15s on.
BTW you have wheel flares.. I wouldn't call it a wide body. This a widebody.
This a 1976 that was made by greenwood in the 1976. A Corvette was $8,000s then, this model was 16,000. vemp-1106-12+ken-lingenfelter-corvette-collection.jpg
