There is something wrong with this supercharger...I don't know what it is, but the sound is just aweful in gear. It's weird too...it's not constant, it sounds like a cammed car, like there'll be about 2 seconds of the noise, then a little pause then noise, pause.
I uploaded the noise to my youtube account. First sitting in my driveway (I think it was in idle, but maybe in reverse with my foot on the brake, can't remember), and the second is driving in the neighborhood, you can hear it horribly at 1500 or so...it's embarrassing...
Also, I noticed the car developed a high pitch whine (almost like blower whine but REALLY loud), but I have no idea where it's coming from...and it's intermittent as well...maybe it has to do with the AC?
All I can say now, is I'm on the look for a new supercharger...hopefully I can get one and get it on before this next Saturday..otherwise I'm going to be missing another Summer Meet and Greet...

Any chance of returning the supercharger? Where did you purchase it from?sigpic1994 Camaro Z28 83K M6, CAI, AFR 190cc, 11.6:1, Hooker headers, Hooker ORY, Mangnaflow exhaust, AI 230/238, 1.6 RR, B&M Short throw, Hays clutch, 4.10 gear.

manuals should be launched off the limiter and the throttle shouldn't leave the floor til 10 feet after the finish line

Some person on CobaltSS.net...so I don't think so, unless he's really cool...Originally posted by Bad_Z28 View PostAny chance of returning the supercharger? Where did you purchase it from?
I'm talking to another SC'd 2.2, and I mentioned that I now remember seeing marks on my rotors...
...and check this out:

See where the gunk isn't? In the direction the rotors spin...
Look when it's clean..

I think those were scores...
I can't believe I put this thing back in.
He made a good inference: maybe something got in, and the rotors kinda hit, and now they're unbalanced...Gone but not forgotten: 1986 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z

That's pretty shitty a guy would sell it, and he most likely knew there was an issue with the s/c.sigpic1994 Camaro Z28 83K M6, CAI, AFR 190cc, 11.6:1, Hooker headers, Hooker ORY, Mangnaflow exhaust, AI 230/238, 1.6 RR, B&M Short throw, Hays clutch, 4.10 gear.
