that better not be the first oil change - ie break-in shit floating around everywhere.Originally posted by meissen View PostI've put like 6g on the Trailblazer with no oil change yet - owners manual says it will light when it's time to change the oil.
So do you have to remove the supercharger in the future when you do an oil change?
change your damn oil brian, look what it did to the last motor
like gary said, its not likely to just blow the motor up - itll become a problem after the warranty is up.
I dont think i ever want to buy a used vehicle with one of these calculators. I remember the shuttle van at the dealer a few summers back had one and we didnt change the oil until it said to do so - which was like 7000 hard miles. total fail.Last edited by JoeliusZ28; July 7th, 2009, 08:41 PM.-Joel

I always go over 3k B. I think that todays oil is darn good and 5k-7k(hwy) is no big deal. I use mobil and both my motors are rock solid.Originally posted by meissen View Postoh no definitely not break in oil - it's a preowned car.

Looking good kyle!
All those synthetic users that run past 3k. Your right your oil is good for longer. Your filter however is not. Run the oil for 15k if you want, but for the love of god change the filter every 3 thousand miles!
We had a dodge ram pickup at school that we ran the same amsoil for over 20 thousand miles(had to top off and account for filter capacity) but the pan was never drained. We sent it out for an oil analysis every 3k when we changed the filter. The oil was still considered good at 21k. We just changed it after that just for good measure. Was a pretty neat expieriment though.1999 Camaro - 6 liters of fury.....

I'd feel safe doing that with Amsoil. We have a guy that runs 10k with Amsoil in his Sierra 3500 with a Duramax at work. He changes the oil filter every 5k. He's done this since day 1, literally, day 1. He drove from the dealer to my work to get the oil swapped out. Last time he was in, he had just over 300,000 on the truck. He takes 5th wheel camper trailers and delivers them to the owners all over the USA. Said its cheaper than putting them on a flatbed with another trailer and shipping 2 at once.Originally posted by sman View PostLooking good kyle!

Thinking back - I probably should've plugged the silencer holes while I had the blower apart...ehh, oh well. I got this supercharger removal down pat, so I can always do it if I need LOUDER... It's already ported quite a bit...Gone but not forgotten: 1986 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z

Kyle, I'm still a little concerned with the way the housing looks. Is there anything replaceable that holds the rotors in place while they spin? Just lokks like a lot of machining going on there and I would assume that the shavings are eventually getting to the engine.sigpic
