  • Nitrous?

I have been throwing around the idea of running bottle on my car, for track use only obviously.

I would like to keep costs under $1,000.

I would like to run ~100 shot.

    What are my best options?

I want it to be as safe as possible though, I don't need to wreck all the work I have done.

For 1500 you can go to Nitrous Outlets and get their LT1 plate setup. Includes everything you need. Just need a ignition box to pull timing like a 6AL or a Mallory 685.

John, this is the kit NX recommends for LT1: 20421-10. I bought this kit from Jonny and am running a 100 shot. Jonny was cheaper than any place else and had it in about a week shipped to my house.

Alright, what else would I need to safely run that kit?
          I want 11's this season.
I ran a 12.40 last year with the stock converter and the trans that was on it's way out.
Hopefully with about 300lbs less, 3600 stall, slicks, brand new transmission and some bottle I can reach that goal.

            Shouldn't be a problem at all! My C5 picked up 1 second and 10mph from a 100 shot out of a NX kit! 11.99 @ 117 to 11.04 @ 128 with just a 100 shot!

I bet it gets close on motor. Hit it with 100 and go 11.50's or better.

It's the accessories that drive the price of N20 up. The kits are reasonable - add the purge, heater, switches, etc and the price goes up fast.

Purge isn't really needed. I would recommend a heater though so you can keep pressure up! A window switch is nice so you can control when it sprays, but not necessary. My kit on my C5 was simple with just a WOT switch and I had a blast without having to worry about making sure everything else was working right. Bottle opened, armed, at WOT it turned on!

The only thing I added to the kit was the window. Those are nice to have and aren't very expensive depending on which one you get.

Does a window switch just allow you to choose when it sprays?
Will I need injectors to run a 100 shot?

                        Any tuning needed?

Would I need anything thing else really?
                            MSD box?

How do you plumb fuel to it? Right from the rail?

Yep, usually you can tap right into the test port off your fuel rail. The MSD Window Switch is a nice unit and I can get you that as well from NX (I believe they still use MSD as their Window Switch)
