      banks twin turbo

      i was looking into the banks twin turbo kit for sbc... they get you up to 800hp on a stock engine and a built up engine can get around 1200hp... only like 2,650 for the kit now for everything to hook up bolth turbos manifolds and all... straight bolt on kit.. and the kit with the engine build up included was only like 5,000 with the turbos... not bad for that much power but id like to find someone who acctually has used one... not just clips off horse power tv and such....

        I have never heard anyone complain about banks stuff, I had a friend in Atlanta that had one and it never gave trouble

          found new kit

          hey found a new site not sure if anyone ran across it before http://www.bbsdesigns.net/
          he makes turbo kits specifically for sbc and has them ranging from 550hp to 1200 hp at really decent prices for a full kit. thinking about it anyone ever heard of this company before...

            Well my fellow F-body lovers. I have developed an issue my engine. Its called a shitty engine builder. The pistons were lined up causing a serious blow-by prob. Also note that the rings made a groove in the cylinders. So now I'm in the process of finding a set of low compression pistons and a
            T-76 turbonetics turbo. The car made 357@ the wheels as is with blow by. So im gonna hope to hit some 550-600 numbers! Well say good by to my rearend

                  hey **** you dr. douche! Look at yur 14.2 runnin engine *****! Mine made more power at the wheels then yurs at the crank. I really dont give a damn now cuz i get to throw a turbo on it now.

                      this is why u need to trust ur engine builder. i trust mine and most of the work we did togehter so i know its right. i myself gapped quite a bit of the rings. there wont be nothing going on wierd in htere. it should be in the car in the next week started up.

                      on another note turbos are nice i was thinkinga bout one for my engine. in about two years.

                        i have a turbo car but its my DSM it has a 20G turbo with hks external gate, along with a slew of other mods, when finished the car should be an 11second car ( i have everything to complete it just no time) i love driving a turbo car and expecialy in a shit box car cuz no one expects the asswhoopin they shall recieve

                            i raced a 4th gen TA this summer and blew his doors off and as i started to pull once the turbo spooled the look on his face was priceless!!

                              Thats pretty cool. I gotta buddies down here with DSMs another dudes gotta 240 with an sr20 swap. These turbo 4 bangers are gettin pretty hardcore around here.

                                Turbo F bodies are far more wicked than a four banger though and that why I'm goign the turbo route.
