Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

yea, bbs is right, bought it a year ago, hopefully have it all in by end of september. most of the stuff is off ebay. cheap turbo, waste gate and blow off. i figure it will get it running and i can upgrade as things break. i need injectors, fuel rails for my Stealthram, intercooler, material for downpipe and hopefully only about 2 weeks to get it all together.

I have been running since last summer. Had a few things to de-bug, and have spent most of my time tuning this year (running stand alone Commander 950).
It is a tremendous difference since it was naturally aspirated. Pre turbo it went 14.4 @97. Last fall with a massive headwind, 10lbs of boost, conservative timing, and crapy street tires I was able to get a 13.0...@113. I am now running 13~15lbs of boost with more aggressive timing. Hoping to get mid/low 12's @ 118 ish. Trust me, it is a LOT more fun than stock. Plus it is unique which makes it fun too.
I have the same bbs manifold as you, and made all the rest of the pipes myself. I'm running all Turbonetics parts - 62-1 turbo, Evolution wastegate, Raptor blow off, and billet boost controller. I have a lot of pics that might be good reference for you. Rather than hijack this thread, I think I'll start a separate thread. Buy here is a teaser -
I WANT NOISE! SPEED! AN ENGINE THAT SHAKES MY INTERNAL ORGANS LIKE THEY GOT PARKINSON'S! I DONT WANT AN ENGINE THAT IS PARTIALLY POWERED BY MY LAPTOP BATTERY!

I think it is because I take it in and out all the time, the rubber has just stretched out, especially at the bottom where it is really thin. It annoys me more then anything.
not to rain on anbodys perade, but STS turbo systems are incredibly expensive and i talked to one guy, and now they are swering by cetrifugal supperchargers because when they installed the STS systems, they had to wrap the entire exhaust leke 2-3 times to keep the temp up

????? I thought this thread was for turbo users...not turbo haters
i am not a turbo hater. i actually have plans to put twin t3 on my cars. i was just making a statement on the Squires Turbo Systems and how incredible inefecient they are for being a turbo setup
Like I said just kidding... Funny, but I have a good friend that has a STS system on his 95 Z. It is kind of sluggish off the line too, but once it gets moving it's pretty sweet. You might be on to something there with the heat loss. STS claims no lag, but it is certainly there.
Im running a borg warner s400 75mm on a 70 firebird. Homemade, it was alot of work but the finished product is worth it! 455 Pontiac turbo 400 trans with a 3.55 12 bolt rear. Strarts to spool around 2600 full boost by 3400. I run at 10 psi but ive had it up to 15psi, no traction! lol.
