You are the man Larry! I may just order a set of the MSD wires.Originally posted by 1BADAIR View Postmurray's in orion has tr6s. I have a few msd ls1 wires laying around. I have the pump you need too
Let me know Jamie. My plan is to be in the garage as much as possible. I want to have it ready to be tuned by Monday. But I may still have to get the exhaust made up. Either way, I want it as done as I can get it by Monday. And any help is always appreciated.Originally posted by JAdair View PostDang man looks nice and you havin a party all weekend ill be there haha jk i gotta work to get money for my bills i have lol. Just ditch that AIR pump, its pointless anyway, unless you want to get it along with EGR just for the fact to say you still have it, haha. I'd ditch AIR and EGR for the sheer fact alone to clean up the engine bay, but thats just me. As for the sleeper comment, not really possibly with twins, i tried thinking maybe mine might be a sleeper with the intercooler in its old spot, but after my first few passes down the track, everyone knew what i had, there is so much turbo noise so early, my burnout thats all you hear, so i said eff it and opened up my front end for better air flow to it. Possibly the APS could pass for a sleeper since it routes the wg's and bov's back into piping keeping the sound down, vs everything on my car dumps to atmosphere. No matter what though, your going to love it man

I may just pull all of that off. If I ever need to meet emissions I wanted to have it around though.Originally posted by Superman09 View PostJust ditch that AIR pump, its pointless anyway, unless you want to get it along with EGR just for the fact to say you still have it, haha. Last night was some more bad news and some good news. Plumbed up my compressor and plugged it in and it stopped after 3 minutes..... DOH! Something is not right there and I need that monster for my valvespring swap and other cutting tools......
On a good note, got the exhaust manifolds, turbo's, and downpipes subassembled. Also put on the oil lines for the turbo's and added the starter heat shield to the RH side Assy.
Learned a valuable lesson too. There were 2 different length studs provided that only varied by 2mm. Pay CLOSE attention to the stud lengths as I had to go back and find a few that got mixed into my turbo & manifolds subassemblies. I needed the longer ones for the manifolds to the engine. Slowed me down for a bit, but all straightened out now.My Toys: Hugger Orange 1999 Z28 6-Spd Twin Turbo

OK! Finally got one of the big items checked off of my list. I got the stock K-Member out all by myself last night! What a chore that was. Not too difficult overall but time consuming and tricky as the motor mounts got hung up on the motor so I ended up unbolting them from the k-member. I originally just unbolted the mounts from the block. I also had to wrestle the lower control arms out of the way as they were holding the stock K-member in place. And the steering rack bolts were tricky. I had to drop the K-member down to allow for those bolts to be taken out and then slide the rack forward and out of the K-member brackets. I already had the brake lines unbolted and nothing got hung up on me. All in all not too bad, and my neighbors probably think I am nuts after letting out a "Woohoo" when I finally got that thing dropped.
Also took the stock mounts apart in preparation for the urethane mounts. Cleaned them and put a coat of paint on them so they look nice. They were a bit rusty looking. Getting closer to hanging the turbo's!!!

And while I was pondering some of the K-Member fun, I also re-routed my hood latch release cable under the fender so it will be out of the engine bay. I forgot to get pics of that though.Attached FilesLast edited by Hugger Z; August 30th, 2007, 07:41 AM.My Toys: Hugger Orange 1999 Z28 6-Spd Twin Turbo
