Update time...
I visited my local muffler shop and asked what they could put in for me as far as a cat back or duals. They quoted me like $300 for Flowmaster 40s with dual chrome oval tips. We keep talking about 3.4s but what about us 3.8 guys? I need a idea of a good setup. I want to do the entire exhaust at one time. From the block back. What do you guys suggest? I do not want to make a mistake and sound ricey!

if you're doing full exhaust, get some pacesetter headers, ditch the cats and then go with some kind of cat-back OTHER THAN a flowmaster, im not a big fan of flow's on V6 cars. sounds strange. get a magnaflow or something, they sound good. I would sure hope so, Nick! The magnaflow catback exhaust is only like 350-400.

OKay that sound reasonable. I may check my local guys and see if they can't cut me a deal. What series would be best, I know there are different products. But I'm definitely doing some pace setters ($225) Magnaflow cat ($300-500) and installation ($100). SO all I need to do is get ahold of $625-825!!!
I'll wait to put the system in so I can get the good stuff. Thanks everybody. Anybody got a clip of a 3.8L with the pacesetter-magnaflow setup? I think before I do that though I'll invest in that bad a** SLP CAI.

The magnaflow with pacesetter should sound great, don't worry about what series, just buy the catback as a package for the 3.8l and it comes with everything you will need. Same thing with the pacesetter headers.Doing less with more

don't get the painted pacesetters for 225. Get the ceramic coated ones for 300.------------------------------------------

Coated is what you want unless you never drive the car in the rain, snow, or salty roads.Doing less with more

No the ceramic coating is the finish, I'm pretty sure you can polish them though. Even if you can't its not like they are real noticable. Mine are black coated and I don't mind at all they all look like crap after time.Doing less with more

just buy them coated. coated keeps temps down and they want look like crap after awhile like painted ones.------------------------------------------
