I am thinking its about time for a new exhaust. Some people told me to pick up a Borla, but I dont have the kind of money for that. I was thinking flowmaster. I would at least like some kid of rumble for my 3.4 Any idea's on what to go for? I am no expert in exhaust so I dont exactly know all what I need in order for it to sound right if you know what I am saying

I have a flowmaster 80 series on my 2.8. For a short time i didn't run a cat but it was way to loud... After I got a cat put back on it sounds good. Should sound better on a 3.4. If you want Give me a call and i will go outside and put my phone behind my car and tach it up for ya.

alot of people complain the flowmaster is raspy, but the only time I hear it on cars is when they are revved, so don't nbe a ricer and rev at everyone and your ok

I usually just buy a good set of mufflers (brand preference is based on sound, and never a turbo style)

I just bought the Flowmaster American Thunder for mine in June. I love it. Personally, for the $320 shipped to my door, and all the parts bent and ready to hang, it was worth it. I didn't have and didn't want to spend a lot right now on exhaust. As for doing your own, me, I hate messing with exhaust, that's why I love the bolt on kits. Took 2 hours to tear the stock off and put the Flowmaster on. Even if you don't go Flowmaster, if you have the money, get a kit, way less hassle IMO.

GMMG or Magnaflow, definitely. Flowmasters not only are raspy but they'll rust out on you. Magnaflows are stainless steel so you won't have any problems with them rusting out (contrary to what Steve will say.

magnaflow is fine, it's dynomax that's garbage, and my flowmasters have always been stainless, never had one rust. (my flowmaster setup that was on an older car cost me a total of $125 and took 3 hours to install I had the pipes bent at a local shop yes I worked there, but they charged me full price)

Best sounding and one of the best flowing catbacks for the F-Bodies. I got mine a couple of weeks ago and it sounds better every day.
