side exit exhaust ?

I don't see why having a side exhaust is so bad. The stock mufflers are ungodly big and heavy, and you can easily save 20lbs if not more removing all that weight from behind the rear axle. When has removing weight ever been a bad thing? If we're talking purely aesthetics, then that is a matter of personal preference.

umm......I did it on my car lol. It was at the M&G. It looks much lower in the pictures than it actually is. I raised it a bit since then. There is about 3.5 inches of clearance. Still have to cut it down a bit because I think it sticks out too much. I couldn't find any stainless oval to round which is why I just kept it round. Had to make due with what I had.

I saw a 4th gen with side-exit exhaust at the M&G, it was actually VERY mean looking. I had considered it myself, only changing my mind because I finally found a cat-back I liked the sound of. . . haha

Rear lower control arms make that difficult to pull off.
A boom tube is about the only halfway decent way to do it.

any one have a side exit exhaust i seen some square tips on jegs and it made me wonder..any pics?
