well sounds like TS might pull thru... after getting of the phone with them, and numoruse emails back and forth. the finally admit they screwed up... they new they had a problem with there 1 3/4 f-body headers... they taged the suspect boxes with truck header part numbers.. the sales person on the phone when I called them with the first set never said a word about having issues with fitmit... the second set of headers was the last box on the shelf and also part of the bad batch. These second set of headers are not fitting at all. Sounds like they may send me a set of 1 7/8 headers. the just make up there difference there... hopefully they will sent the items out next day air. so they we can get them before the weekend... right now their sitting on $800 bucks of mine with the price of these 2 header.. even if they took the refund of both sets put that towards the cost of the 1 7/8 headers plus over night shipping they'll still be making money off the deal.

i guess maybe next time you shouldnt sit on parts for 3 months before putting them on and trying to make a mad dash to get the car done right before the show..
trust me it happens.. mine hasnt been there in 3 yrs.. because of issues such as this.. but no one elses fault but my own.

So the parts sat at your place for 3 months and you never once thought "hey, maybe I should make sure these are the right ones". I dunno about anyone else, but when I get parts in, I inspect them like my life DEPENDED on it, mostly looking for damages incurred during the shipping process. TSP is probably one, if not THE most respected LS/Fbody/Vette etc parts dealers. I know guys that have pretty much built ground-up cars from parts from TSP and never had an issue. They sent you the wrong part. Shit happens. Sounds like your attitude (and lies) were caught on pretty quick by their people, and they probably sat there and said "listen to this guy, yeah, let me get right on it sir!"
I'm in sales. Sometimes things get entered, shipped, or pulled incorrectly. It happens. If Joe Customer calls me, or emails me with a bunch of idiocy, I set that particular case off to the side of my desk until I can calm down and deal with it in a better mindset. If Joe Customer calls and says "hey, you guys messed up, lets figure it out together and make this right, thanks!" I'll do my best to bust my ass to make sure he's taken care of.
Oh and FFS, does your computer have spell-check?

after talking to the guys at tsp. they put the ill-fitting correct headers in a box labeled for truck headers and yes.. I opened the boxes and even mocked up the set before putting them on the car to know they were the correct ones.. yea your probly right, i should have put everything on the car the day i got the parts..my orignal plan was to do the work my self, but working 80 hours a week and with it being so cold i didnt feel like doing it, so i reached out to ken. yea so what i lied about how much there mistake cost me... F---shit happens all the time... they knowingly sent out 2 set of headers that they knew had fitment issues... the only person in the wrong here is them, texas speed is highly reguarded in the f-body industry but they are not almighty god. They made a mistake by sending out bad parts, and then finally admiting they had a problem. end of topic... there's no point to keep going back and forth because you guys clearly arnt being made aware of the real issue. the customer is alway right Eric i would thing you would know that better then anyone.. put your self in my shoes... if my company f-'ed up and said well screw up.. yea you'd go ape shit on them...

i think this has gotten more blow out of proportion than a 5 dollar hooker. im pretty sure erik was almost dead on with his post. joe customer calls and starts complaining telling lies to make a sutuation sound worse etc etc and guess what, that doesnt help in your favor. TS is a great fbody company just like my work does 80% of the driveshafts from nascar as we have gone above and beyond their expectations. last week four came back to us. and we dont directly deal with the teams but this time we sat on the phone with them and they explained three we didnt like the weights on them(not our fault, we have no control over the tubing) and one we dropped. they didnt try to hide it, they didnt exxagerate anything it was clear and to the point, so we did our best to financially replace them for them with no troubles. Nascar is a big thing, thatd be a terrible customer to lose. But if your gonna walk into a place all tall and mighty then they might not want your business fi your gonna be an ass.
moral of the story, tell the truth and youll get treated better. dont let your parts sit for months on end without test fitting them right when you get them or something along those lines.
the fact that they werent mocked up before spraying and wrapping is not TS's fault, and no they really dont have to feel sorry or reimberse you for your own wrong doings. you put yourself in a position to be treated like royalty by them while you treated them like a slave to your own wants.
we get your frustrated, theres other like on ls1tech having the same issues but i bet they are going about it better and getting somewhere with this. and if they end up getting screwed over then well im sorry for you and all of them, but treat people how youd want to be treated and theyll treat you the same. toss the header wrap and spray idea, inquire if theres anything they can do to help soften the blow of shipping and what not for you and apologize to them. if its the same guy your working with through this whole thing hes probably furious each time you call.
things happen, all you can do is let them know what happened and see if they will do the right thing, but you as the customer have to take care of them too.91 Trans am, 305, Lt1 cam, 24lb injectors, headers, SLP LM2, SW chassis, massive panhard, lowered, modded TPI, Tuned, 4.10s, Lincoln locked

Tyler-
I thank you for your post.... if you would re-read some of my other post... i did not ask them to remberce me for the cost of anything... only reason it was brought up was show that because of there mistake this is how much it's cost me.. the only think i asked for help on was shipping on the next set of headers... according to John the sale manager at tsp, everyone that has had fitment issue with these 1 3/4 headers have not sent them back.. they know they have a problem. we took as many pictures of being on the car as we could. to help them figuare out whats wrong in there process. I NEVER ONCE ASKED THEM TO PAY FOR ANY COST I TOOK ON BECAUSE OF THIS.
as far as test fitting them on the car... if you would like to switch jobs with me, work 80 hours a week and go to school full time and work out in my cold ass garage at 1:30 am when i got home from work... by all means i'll switch with you.. my plan was to do the work myself in april, but ken was able to do it for me for cheap, but i had to wait 3 weeks while he was finishing up another car. still 3 weeks before the meet and greet.
so this is the lastest, both set of headers had made there way back to TSP.. had $800 tied up in 2 sets of header. they did not have another set of 1 3/4 headers to send me.. so i asked if they could send me a 1 7/8 headers but send it out next day air... they agreed to sending me the larger headers but would not cover the shipping... not even ground. it's time to move on... order from summit a set of BBK LT Headers and Y-pipe. hope this things fit like a glove.
thanks everyone for your input...
