No doubt about it. Moisture + high temps = rust.

So your 7 years with barely any rust makes sense. For anyone who sees rain or daily driving... not so much.

I have the old school heat wrap on my pacesetters. It's the DEI titanium wrap. What a huge pita to put on,but it does look kinda cool. I think it's probably the worst way to go though.sigpic

That is where the issue lies. I will have to drop the engine shortly, so I would like to put them on when that happens. But the only available stainless headers ones are the ones that Kyle are offering. I plan on keeping this car until I get shipped to the grave, but I am thinking that I will be changing stuff around a little down the road, so the coated wouldn't be too bad if I have to replace them in 5-10 years. And I mean, this is, by no means, a show car. It is just a summer fun driver.Originally posted by Lucky SOB View PostAre you going to keep the car? If so, get stainless and be done.
If you're going to sell it in a few years, just get the coated ceramic.
Stay away from high temp painted... It's garbage.

Reallllly... what size primaries/collectors and what price point? Are they an original design or will they mimic another popular brand such as LPP/OBX/etc. did with Kooks?

Timeline is not set at the moment. It will vary depending on what went wrong with the car and how much I decide to do to it in the process of fixing it.Originally posted by Superman09 View PostUnsure when you need these by, but I will be having LS1 and LT1 f-body headers stocked this winter! My manufacturer already has the LT1 design, and unfortunately I don't have much info on them, however I do know they have a great reputation for fitting very well!Originally posted by birdie2000 View PostReallllly... what size primaries/collectors and what price point? LS1 is a new design that not only fits great, but will eliminate the whole system being slip fittings. Has flanges from the headers to the Y and a nicer merge in the Y as well!sigpic

I installed a set of Pacesetter headers on a 1995 LT1 Camaro and the left header collector was only about an inch away from the floor pan support. Very poor engineering if I have to say so. I ended up smashing the collector that attaches to the exhaust pipe to flatten it out.
