  • ls1 header decisions. 3 choices

Im trying to figure out what headers to get for my ls1. Loking for any input you can provide. I am open to suggestions as well but i wont spend more than the $525 for the hooker. Im leaning towards either the hooker or pacestter. Just hard to justify the extra $200 for the hookers.

Hooker stainless (never seen hooker stainless before) $525

Pacesetters. By far the best fitment of any header I've had to deal with.

I think i would get a catback and lid before getting headers.
Might want to stay away form pacesetter if you care about how they look down the road.

Pacesetters fit better than anything out there on ls1 cars, and mine look ok for being on a daily driven car for 4 years.

I personally "installed" a set of lpp's on an ls1 car last summer, couldn't have been a bigger PITA. The owner of the car and I were actually out back beating the shit out of them with a 35lb sledge to get them to fit. He still complains of them making some kind of noise to this day, Wouldn't touch them with a 10 ft pole if I were you.

I heard the same thing about LPP but supposedly they have come out with a new design that fits way better than before.

Pacesetters have been proven over and over, if your concerned about rust you could always get them coated.
