Roger. Didn't remember posting that. Would it make any difference if I had mid-length headers then? Shorties? I don't know the Army's policy on vehicle registration, I have been told that I just need to keep it registered in the state that my home of record is listed in, but others have told me it will need to meet certain emissions standards in order to get a pass to drive it on post for long-term use. . . I'll look into it. Maybe someone else here who is/was in the military can help shed some light. . .Nick H.

army dosnt really do smog/emission tests if thats what your worried about.. as far as vehicle inspections to get on post just need all the lights, turn signals, blinkers, etc work, and have proper insurance, registration and liscence. if your gonna be driving all the time take your registration and all that to the vehicle registration building and show it to them, theyll give you a sticker for your window and thats all the inspection there is too it lol. i drove around for months on post with open headers lol. anyways...states generaly dont require local registration if your military.... register it in mi, tell the sos people your in the army and they can get you tags for two years, other than that your good, dont need any kinda of tests like that because its a michigan car ya kno? hope thats a little helpful..Last edited by Caveman; August 28th, 2009, 10:41 AM.< Black Betty >

Cool, that's what I was worried about. I'll probably order some longtubes while I'm in Korea then. It will probably be a little easier to get the work done on the car if the parts are already waiting. Seems to work best that way. . . lol
Any suggestions for a decent muffler? My Flowmaster is starting to go bad. . .Nick H.

Get a Hooker Nick. They are cheap, sound great, and flow great. I think that you can pick up just the muffler from your local autozone or whatever.
