i am putting a cutout on my car when i do the 3 in next week, i want to know where i should put it, i am not going to run any sort of cat. Should i put it after the Y pipe, or where the catback starts?

What im really trying to ask is will there be enough back pressure to put it about 6inchs after the Y pipe

You're fine as long as you put it anywhere before the muffler.

just put it right after the Y pipe in the I pipe. That way you can tuck it up a little bit in the hole where the passenger seat is. If you go with an E-Cutout there is a nice rubber grommet close by under the front passenger seat that you can run your wire through as well. Thats where my cutout is.

Ive always heard cutouts are most beneficial the further back you can place them. There is PLENTY of room to tuck the cutout up in both locations, so i wouldnt decide based on that. Front of the car will also probably resonate in the interior more. Either way I wouldnt say its a critical decision, do whatever you want.

Mine was right behind the door, right before the up and over pipe.

theres not going to be any good place to fit it in the middle without loosing clearance... its pretty much one or the other.

put it after the ypipe where the cat used to be if you are not running one. I have mine there. I seen about 18rwhp gain from the cutout there over full exhaust

lol, N/A but far from stock. He has a ported intakes, cammed and a few other goodies. If your v6 is stock I really don't see where you will get much gains at all, to be honest it will sound absolutely terrible as well. Sound like an annoying tractor at idle and all v6 rasp once in the throttle.

but where the cat was is fine so that you can tuck it up in there a bit as well. Let me warn ya, it is loud, ha
